Children deserve thoughtful learning experiences and careful handling of their information. Here is exactly what this website does and doesn't collect.
We don't sell personal data
We don't sell or rent the information you share with us. It is used only to answer you and run the program you asked about.
Public forms are for adults
Our public forms are for adult and school inquiries. They ask about your school, such as the grade levels it serves and a rough student count, but never for student names, marks, records, or health details.
Student activity stays in the portal
Student accounts, activity, and progress live only inside the separate student portal at portal-theethicsengine.com. This website has no student accounts.
A real person answers data questions
Email contact@theethicsengine.com with any question or request about your information.
What each part of the site handles
- School Pilot application
- Saves the school name, the adult contact's name, role, email, and optional phone, the grade levels served, an estimated student count, interests, preferred start, whether you'd like a sponsor, and your notes. Only the site owner can view applications, through a private, sign-in protected page. We email a confirmation to the address you give; our email setup is still being finished, so if it doesn't arrive, we'll reply personally.
- Access request and inquiry buttons
- Open your own email app with a draft addressed to us. This website does not send or store those requests; only the email you choose to send reaches us.
- Educator Dilemma Helper
- The classroom situation you type is sent to an AI service to suggest protocols and discussion prompts, and the answer is shown back to you. This site doesn't keep it in its records. Please describe situations without student names or other identifying details.
- Sponsor records
- Sponsors are recorded privately by the site owner. A sponsored school is told the sponsor's name, plus their logo and message if provided, and the sponsor's email only if the sponsor agrees. Sponsors are told only the school's name. A public thank-you appears on this site only when the sponsor agrees.
- Optional analytics
- Google Analytics runs only after you choose Allow on the About page. It then records the pages you visit and which About page links you click, along with the general device and approximate location details Google Analytics collects. We never send it email addresses or learner details, and advertising features stay off. You can switch it off at any time on the About page.
- Services that help run the site
- This site uses outside providers to host the site and its database, send email, and power the Dilemma Helper's AI suggestions, so information you submit passes through those services.
- Other sites we link to
- Book retailers, Skool, YouTube, and the student portal run their own services and privacy policies.
Privacy standards
Our practices are informed by U.S. children's and student privacy expectations, including COPPA and FERPA. We have not obtained a third-party privacy certification, and this page is not legal advice. Schools should review the student portal's own privacy notices and their district requirements before use.
